(pbo.co.uk) – Four crew were aboard the 56-foot Oyster Mistral of Portsmouth in the middle of the Atlantic when their Code Zero headsail became jammed. Owner Karen Parker was chosen to go up the 75-foot mast where she freed the sail. Her husband started to lower her down when the wind picked up and blew Karen away from the mast. She had to disengage the safety line and eventually made it down, fortunately without fractures but with lots of bumps and bruises. Read more.
