Many thanks to all readers who sent in answers to the last question in December on the subject of the new movic Adrift. The winner this week is Lane Proctor, Noank, Connecticut who emailed: “Steve Callahan was racing in the first Mini-Transat race when he hit something that sank his boat. This was prior to EPIRBs and satcoms so he had no way to let the world know he was adrift in his life raft. He survived for 76 days and eventually was blown to the Caribbean where he was rescued. That’s his amazing story.”
