Two Adults, Three Children Rescued Prior to Tropical Storm Ophelia Making Landfall

(NY Post) – Two adults along with three children were aboard a 38-foot sailboat in Cape Lookout’s Lookout Bight, NC, when the owner of the boat called the U.S. Coast Guard for help. There were ten foot waves and 40 mph wind gusts were rocking the anchored boat. A 45-foot response boat came to their aid, along with a helicopter providing light from above. Read more.
