United Nations delegates have reached an historic agreement on protecting marine biodiversity in international waters. This agreement comes after twenty years of talks, the UN Secretary-General António Guterres stating, “This action is a victory for multilateralism”. The treaty focuses on countering the destructive trends facing ocean health and will put more money into marine conservation.
