She offers suggestions for how to plan your provisions for a passage. She notes that a “well-fed crew is a great asset”. The general rule of thumb is to provision 1.5 times the number of planned passage days and she provides a timeline to purchase non-refrigerated items, frozen foods and the fresh foods to be used the first days of the passage.
