Hi George,
We have done a few multi-year cruises, but none like this one. Previously, career & work had to halt as we ventured off on hiatus. This time around two things are different: no kids (we are empty nest), and we continue to work uninterrupted. Starlink has allowed us to cruise today instead of waiting till retirement in 5-10 years. It also adds safety by allowing unlimited access to weather updates. We have the RV plan = about $700 for the Starlink hardware plus the $135/mo. That’s it. “Musk” as we refer to the gear, sits flat, face up, while sitting in a fishing rod holder off our stern. We see consistent speeds of 100 MB down, 30 up. On sketchy days, it’s 35 MB down and 10 up. We are anchored in St Georges, Bermuda right now, working & cruising. Game-changer for us.
Here’s a link to stats for our most recent passage – Newport >> Bermuda –

Great to see Starlink mentioned but just one comment – a lot of cruisers are using the standard RV version (retails for $599) – us included! The unit works well up to about 6kts, and even then has been reported as working ok beyond that speed.
