44-Trimaran Holed and Capsized, Crew Rescued

(sailingscuttlebutt.com) – Three crew onboard Buddy, a 44-foot trimaran departed on December 1 from Woods Hole, MA to Puerto Rico. After crossing the Gulf Stream the boat abruptly stopped and they saw the ama underwater after being holed in a collision. In this article crew Ryan Finn describes their attempts at keeping the boat afloat. Fortunately for them a J/133 was approximately 10 miles upwind of their position and were on standby awaiting the decision of Buddy‘s crew. Read more.
