Congratulations to Evie Maddux, s/v Tarantula, Trinidad, who correctly answered last week’s Mindbender. “The satellite internet system that Space X is deploying is called Starlink. It is made up of a lot of low earth orbit satellites that will connect users on earth to the internet. Right now it requires fixed, stationary antennas but antenna developers are working with Space X to create gyro guided antennas similar to the ones used with Inmarsat and Iridium. That will make the Starlink system work on boats that are moving. One day, we may have internet on our boats all the time and anywhere. Amazing.”
