Do you have shore power for your cruising boat?
Thanks to all readers who answered last week’s survey on anchors aboard a cruising boat. When asked how many anchors should be carried on a well-fitted-out cruising boat 59% said three, 25% said two, 13% said four and 3% said five or more. As for the types of anchors that readers cary, 92% said fluke type, 74% said hooking type, 13% said fisherman type, 10% said grapnel and 3% said mushroom type.
Asked about favorite brands, the most popular are: Rochna (61%), Danforth Fluke (48%), Mantus (37%), Bruce (35%), Delta (27%), Spade (22%), plow (19%), Ultra Marine (6%) and West Marine fluke (3%).
