Bubbles Keeping Plastic From the Ocean

(CNN) – A bubble barrier has been put in place to keep plastic pollution from flowing from waterways into the ocean. The Great Bubble Barrier, a Dutch system has been placed in Amsterdam capturing 86% of the trash that would escape into the river and eventually the North Sea. The bubble works by an air compressor sending air through a perforated tube lying across a canal creating bubbles that trap the plastic. Read More
