(CNN) – In any given year there are thousands of small vessels, sailed by families and individuals, sailing around the world. Most follow the weather, making sure to be in safe zones during storm season. This truism has been turned on its head this year due to Covid-19. Sailors from the Maldives, to the Caribbean and French Polynesia are now finding themselves stuck at sea as countries are reluctant to have them stay.
