Fire Aboard: Two Sailors Rescued 288 Miles Southeast of Corpus Christi

(Caller Times) – Just after the first of the new year the Coast Guard rescued two sailors off the 37-foot sailing vessel Rhapsody. The sailors were able to send out an emergency notice that they had an engine room fire onboard. The Coast Guard diverted a LNG tanker to the scene but the waves were too high to lower a lifeboat.
