Three Pairs of Vaquita Found in the Upper Gulf of California

(Maritime Executive) – Scientists spotted two pairs of vaquita in mid-August and then a third pair in early September in waters east of San Felipe, Baja, CA. The vaquita is the smallest cetacean and the most endangered marine mammal in the world. Endemic to Mexico’s Upper Gulf of California, it is estimated that there are only 19 vaquita alive. Read More
