For the first time in the history of the Transpacific Yacht Race, a race from California to Hawaii, a yacht has sunk. About 250 miles out of San Diego the yacht OBX began taking on water through its rudder post. Issuing a distress call they were rescued by fellow racers, Roy Disney’s boat, Pyewacket.
