In the first leg of our five-year circumnavigation, we sailed and cruised from the East Coast of the U.S. to New Zealand via the Panama Canal and the South Pacific Ocean. We were underway for 14 months and during that time we were in marinas and hooked up to shore power for only 20 nights. That’s all.
