Harken UK won the Renewable Energy category at the 2012 Seawork Innovation Awards ceremony on 22nd May 2012.
Following a busy first day at Seawork 2012 and the successful press launch of their PowerSeat™, Harken received a certificate of commendation for their PowerSeat™ entry to the Seawork Innovation Showcase.
Harken chose Seawork 2012 for the official launch of the Harken PowerSeat™, because of its relevance to the Commercial Marine Sector. By entering the PowerSeat™ in the Seawork Innovations Showcase, they hoped to raise further recognition for the potential value this new product could provide to this specialist industry.
“Winning this award really is the culmination of a lot of hard work over the last year and we are truly delighted with this recognition. We look forward to seeing what the rest of Seawork has in store for us,” comments Andy Ash-Vie, Managing Director of Harken UK Ltd.
The Harken PowerSeat™ is a sit-on powered ascender with a built-in manual friction-brake descender. Extending working hours and capability, and providing the quality and comfort that people working in hazardous environments deserve.
Designed to be used anywhere that rope access is possible, the Harken PowerSeat™ is ideal for industrial maintenance, architectural and construction work, wind turbine and offshore constructions, engineering and inspections, marine and rigging, and also in search and rescue situations.
