Returning from a hike around the island to the warmth of our boat was welcomed, but it was the distinct smell of thanksgiving dinner that made me weak at the knees as I dropped down the companionway. We love to cruise the Pacific Northwest in the offseason and last year we spent the thanksgiving holiday doing just that; hopping to some of our favorite anchorages, islands and towns around Puget Sound. What made it truly memorable was making a full thanksgiving dinner aboard with so few boats around it seemed as though we had the whole place to ourselves, except for that curious raccoon who appeared on deck as we were eating pie.
From our boat to yours, happy thanksgiving from the crew at Blue Water Sailing!
