37th Annual Great Schooner Race

A 20-ship strong fleet of windjammers will be competing for bragging rights in the Great Schooner Race set to sail from Isleboro to Rockland, Maine during the 4th of July week. This year’s race on Friday, July 5th, marking the 37th anniversary of this historic race, is recognized as the largest annual gathering of these majestic vessels brought together to compete. Spending a few days learning the ropes, while experiencing gourmet cuisine and the camaraderie that the high seas demand, is sure to delight visitors looking for a new experience. What better way to see Maine; and all it has to offer; than from the deck of a historic windjammer.
