Cruising Shot of the Week

Whether new or old, every cruising sailboat comes with a list. The only difference from boat-to-boat is how long the list is, but as a living and breathing document, it never ends. The list of course is of maintenance issues and upgrades that need to be done, plus any number of tasks that get accomplished on a routine basis. I have my list practically memorized. Fix this, ad that, fill this, empty that – which probably keeps the mind sharp as there is always something to do.

But what makes each cruiser unique is in how quickly and efficiently items on the list are completed. One project may take months, while another could take just minutes. No matter which though, the satisfaction remains the same when a checkmark gets placed next to an item or a line struck through it. Keep at those lists fellow cruisers! I know I am.

Enjoy this week’s edition.
