Cruising Shot of the Week

We love this shot of a sea bird hitching a ride on a turtle taken off the coast of Brazil!

Great Migration

As fall gives way to winter in the north, it makes me think about flying south. Actually, I’m in Cabo as I type this, so I guess I acted on that impulse. Of course, lots of cruisers are doing the same thing this time of year. Over the past few weeks, the Baja Ha-Ha took some 150 boats from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas, and on the East Coast the Caribbean 1500 and Salty Dawg Rally are taking another 100 or so boats down to the Bahamas and Virgin Islands. On the other side of the pond, the ARC is getting ready to make a pilgrimage to the Caribbean.

We at BWS know a lot of these sailors and want to wish them well on their journeys not only during these rallies, but throughout the winter cruising season and beyond.

Enjoy this week’s Cruising Compass!

Cheers,

Andrew Cross
