Marinas.com Sees Uptick in Traffic

Marinas.com, a business that provides marina owners and operators with slip reservations and services, had more than 3,600,000 visits from active boaters across North America during the first eight months of 2012.

Marinas.com increased its unique visitors by 45% through August 31, 2012 over the same period in 2011. On this track, Marinas.com will end the year with more than 5,000,000 visits from over 3,800,000 unique visitors.

Last month, Marinas.com re-launched its website with a complete makeover, new homepage, new features for marinas and users alike, new tools and benefits. Also new is a boater’s forum, BoatBuzz.com, which creates a new way for boaters to get and share information. Marinas may post information about specials, fishing tournaments, job posting and more.

Founded in 1996, Marinas.com has the world’s most extensive database of marine locations, featuring low altitude, high-resolution aerial navigation photography of marinas, key inlets, detailed overviews of waterfront communities, bridges, locks, anchorages and lighthouses, along with other major nautical points of interest. Because of the quality of photos, boaters really get a sense of what they are up against in entering a marine facility, harbor and inlets.
