The winners of the 2012 Practical Boat Owner (PBO) Green Awards have been
announced.
Mr. D’s Thermal Cookers triumphed in the best product category for its eco-friendly cooking method, which requires both less gas and cooking oil.
Winner of the Green Award for best boat or boatbuilder was Planet Solar for Turanor, the boat that circumnavigated the globe on solar power alone.
The best campaign went to Waste Free Oceans, an EU-wide campaign, which aims to reduce floating debris on coastlines.
And MDL Marinas was awarded best service for its work in reducing the environmental impact of its 21 marinas.
