New England Boat Show Approaching Quickly

The Progressive Insurance New England Boat Show will take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center from February 11-19, with more than 700 power and sail boats, dozens of educational programs, and the latest gear for every on-the-water enthusiast. This year’s show is 40% larger than previous years, offering the opportunity to compare and shop the newest vessels and equipment during.

“With the show’s 100,000 square foot expansion, there truly is no better place for area power boaters, anglers and sailors to get their boating fix in the off-season, and for new boaters to discover the pleasures of the on-the-water lifestyle,” says Joe O’Neal, show manager. “Serious shoppers can take advantage of exhibitor specials while those looking to improve their on-the-water experience can participate in a wide variety of free, hands-on boating and fishing courses and bring the family for a variety of activities sure to get everyone in the spirit of summer.”

Some of the feature’s of this year’s show include Sailfest, an area featuring more than 50 sailboats up to 45 ft. long, interactive boating instruction and on-the-water experiences, Fred’s Shed for the DIY’ers, and Boating 101 where you can have all your questions answered. There will also be an exhibit of Old Charts of New England, a remote control sailing pond, and the opportunity to meet Abby Sunderland.

Saturday, February 11, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
Sunday, February 12, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
Monday–Friday 1 p.m.–9 p.m.
Saturday, February 18, 10 a.m.– 8 p.m.
Sunday, February 19, 11 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Admission is $14 for adults (16 and older) and free for kids 15 and under. Advance tickets can be purchased online.
