The National Sailing Hall of Fame (NSHOF) has introduced the Tom Morris Library with a preview through a virtual library. It will exist in physical form at the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame building when it is built on the Annapolis waterfront adjacent to the U.S. Naval Academy. The library is being made possible through generous donations by family and friends of Tom Morris, the founder of Morris Yachts, who passed away in December of 2008. The virtual library doesn’t exactly allow you to borrow books, but it does offer an overview of a wide selection of books on sailing and related subjects donated to NSHOF so you can decide which ones you want to borrow from your local library. The library is debuting with The Walter Cronkite Collection — a donation of over 225 books by the estate of Walter Cronkite, the former chair of the NSHOF Honorary Advisory Committee. More collections will be added in the coming months. Check it out at www.nshof.org.
