The SSCA’s biggest party of the year will be held this weekend, November 11-13, at the Eau Gallie Civic Center in Melbourne, FL. Members and non-members alike are welcome to enjoy three days of nautical fun, including two full days of seminars and vendors on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, you can attend the huge indoor nautical flea market, as well as intimate Cruising Destination Roundtables where you can talk to experienced cruisers about the places you hope to someday visit.
Some of the seminar topics include Energy Management Aboard; the Atlantic Circle: From Florida Across the Atlantic and Back; Outfitting for Blue Water Cruising with Pam Wall; Cruising the Caribbean in Quadrants; Installing and Using Marine and SSB Radios; Spanish for Cruising the Caribbean, Central and South America; Provisioning; a Pacific Crossing Primer; Refitting and Rigging a Classic Cruising Yacht and more.
An additional, optional, pay-for seminar will be offered on Sunday. Attendees can choose to attend three intense hours on marine weather with Lee Chesneau on Sunday morning for $120 (tuition fee includes a copy of the required textbook).
