It’s November, which means that for the next two months there’s a pretty good chance you’ll be attending more than a few holiday parties. These are the perfect, easy (no bake!) treat to bring along.
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 cups crunched Oreo cookies
1 cup powdered sugar*
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
1.5 tbsp honey or syrup
1/2 cup rum
*Set aside a bit more powdered sugar or powdered cocoa to coat the rum balls.
PREP: Mix all ingredients together except the rum in a bowl with your hands. Gradually add rum, mixing until the ingredients hold together. Then just add rum a few more drops at a time. Roll into 1 inch balls then roll in powdered sugar or powdered cocoa. Set on waxed paper and cover inside a lidded box. Store at room temperature. Even a shoe box will do if you don’t have an airtight box. The rum evaporates quicker if it’s not airtight so beware!

These sound great! I’ve made similar bourbon balls for years (vanilla wafers instead of graham crackers, cocoa instead of oreos, and whatever liqueur I have–Wild Turkey is good, too). The hardest thing is keeping them for a few weeks for the flavor to cure and the flavors to meld.
