With the next Newport to Bermuda race less than eight months away, it’s time to start making preparations, finding crew, and knocking things off your checklist if you’re thinking of participating. The race will kick off from Castle Hill Lighthouse on June 15, 2012. The notice of race is expected to be released any day now, but it’s not too early to start reserving your hotel rooms and marina berths for once you cross the finish line. Race registration will open on January 16, and on March 17 and 18, there is a Safety at Sea seminar planned in Newport.
