Save the date! For the first time in seven years, Lin and Larry Pardey, the voyagers and sailing authors who have been called “the enablers,” will be presenting seminars and participating at boat shows this fall. BWS will be hosting their seminar at the Newport International Boat Show September 15-18, where the Pardey’s will also be signing copies of Lin’s latest book Bull Canyon: A Boatbuilder, a Writer and Other Wildlife.
Along with presenting seminars on several topics including Storm Tactics, Writing and Video Afloat, and Cost Control as you Cruise, Lin and Larry will be available for six hours each day during the show to answer questions and sign books people wish to bring along.
Lin and Larry have sailed more than 200,000 miles, including two circumnavigations and a west-about rounding of all the great southern capes. They have received the CCA Far Horizon Award, OCC award and many other prestigious sailing awards. The Pardey’s make New Zealand their home base, but spend part of each year cruising on board their engine-free 29-foot sailboat Taleisin.
