A new rally for experienced cruisers aptly named The Salty Dog Rally is being organized by cruiser Bill Knowles, who has more than 50,000 nautical miles under his belt. Bill and his cohorts plan to depart from the Bluewater Yachting Center in Hampton, Virginia on November 1st for the fall passage south. The Salty Dog Rally will follow the NARC Rally’s format of being free. Participants will receive discount dockage in Hampton Roads and at Nanny Cay in Tortola, an offshore rally net, and potluck socials. In addition, BWS will provide free weather routing services.
