Web Site of the Week: The Hooligan Navy

The Hooligan Navy was a group of young sailors and fishermen who were recruited to search out Hitler’s Nazi U-Boats on the East Coast of the United States during World War II with nothing more than antique machine guns mounted on wooden recreational sailing vessels. The National Sailing Hall of Fame website is currently running a 47-minute documentary of their story, which was originally part of the Sea Tales series on A&E. Check it out at www.nshof.org.
