The San Diego Maritime Museum will host a weekend of pirate adventures on May 21 and 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in honor of the opening of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides which used the museum’s HMS Surprise for part of the filming. Supporting cast members from the film will be on hand. This event goes well beyond pirate crafts, boat tours and a harbor cruise. It includes a Sword Fight at Sea Adventure Show, a costume contest, a parade, scary stories and much more.
