Barcelona World Race Finish

Virbac-Paprec 3 crossed the finish line of the Barcelona World Race in the Port of Barcelona on Monday at 12hrs, 20mins, and 36sec. Jean-Pierre Dick and Loïck Peyron began their journey on December 31, 2010. Leading virtually the entire race, the pair sailed from Barcelona to Barcelona in 93 days, 22hrs, 20mins and 36sec. The course passed via the three capes – Good Hope, Leeuwin and Horn – as well as the Cook Strait, putting Antarctica to starboard. Both world-class sailors,  this was the second big win for the duo, who won the Transat Jacques Vabre together in 2005.
