Seacology Announces Japanese Disaster Relief Fund

Seacology, a Berkeley, CA based nonprofit organization with the goal of preserving the cultures and environments of islands around the world has announced the Seacology Japanese Disaster Relief Fund. With several colleagues and board members and the 2007 Seacology Prize Winner in Japan, they are happy to report that their friends all survived the earthquake and tsunami on March 11. The organization has not yet determined where the funds will be distributed but have committed to finding “a project through which donors’ funds will have the largest possible impact.” For more information or to make a donation, go to www.seacology.org.
